From Transplant to Transformation: Aubree’s Life-Changing Journey at Hitfit

Aubree’s journey at Hitfit is defined by resilience, consistency, and a life changing transformation that goes far beyond fitness. Before joining, she faced serious health challenges, including kidney and liver problems that ultimately led to a liver transplant. It was a period that tested her physically and mentally, requiring strength just to get through each day.

Walking into Hitfit marked a turning point. This wasn’t just about getting fitter, it was about rebuilding. Starting from a place where her body had been through so much, Aubree committed to the process step by step. Through structured training and consistent effort, she began to regain strength, improve her fitness, and rebuild confidence in her body.

What makes her story powerful is the shift in mindset. After everything she had faced, stepping into a high-energy training environment required courage. Over time, that courage turned into confidence. Each session became proof that she was stronger than her past challenges. Boxing training pushed her physically, but it also helped develop mental toughness and belief.

Hitfit provided more than just workouts. The environment and community played a critical role in her progress. Being surrounded by support, encouragement, and accountability helped Aubree stay consistent and keep moving forward, even on the tougher days.

The results speak for themselves. Aubree is now stronger, fitter, and more capable than she’s ever been—but more importantly, she’s braver. Her journey shows that transformation isn’t just physical. It’s about reclaiming control, building resilience, and creating a new standard for what’s possible.

For Aubree, Hitfit has been truly life-changing.

Record Breaking Grand Opening in Bundaberg

Record Breaking Grand Opening in Bundaberg

Hitfit has officially landed in Bundaberg — and the response has been nothing short of extraordinary.

When doors opened for the first official session, the grand opening class sold out in under 60 minutes. What started as strong local interest quickly turned into a record-breaking launch, with bookings flooding in and the community rallying behind Bundaberg’s newest fitness destination.

From day one, it was clear this wasn’t just another gym opening.

The launch night delivered electric energy. Members poured through the doors, trainers were kept on their toes, and the atmosphere reflected exactly what Hitfit is known for — high-energy sessions, community spirit and a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. The buzz hasn’t slowed since.

In the first few weeks alone, hundreds of locals have stepped through the doors to experience what makes Hitfit different. Adult classes have consistently been at capacity, with members locking in their spots early to avoid missing out. The kids classes have been equally popular, with families embracing the opportunity to get their children involved in structured, confidence-building training programs.

The demand has been so strong that the location is already working hard to keep up. Extra sessions have been added where possible, waitlists have formed, and the timetable continues to evolve as more members join the movement.

What’s driving the rapid growth? It’s the signature Hitfit formula — structured boxing-inspired training, supportive coaching, and a culture that makes people feel part of something bigger. Whether it’s parents training while their kids build fitness and discipline, or adults chasing new health goals, the Bundaberg community has embraced the brand wholeheartedly.

The grand opening may have been record breaking, but it’s only the beginning. The momentum in Bundaberg shows no signs of slowing, with new members joining weekly and class energy building session after session.

For a regional launch to generate this level of excitement so quickly is a testament to both the local community and the strength of the Hitfit model. Bundaberg didn’t just welcome Hitfit — it showed up in force.

If the first few weeks are anything to go by, this location is set to become a cornerstone of fitness in the region.

Bundaberg, you’ve officially raised the bar.

Hitfit Expands into Queensland Welcoming New Franchise Partners Eliese and Joel

Hitfit is proud to announce our exciting expansion into Queensland, marking a major milestone in our mission to bring high-energy, results-driven fitness to more communities across Australia. As we continue to grow, we are committed not just to opening new locations, but to partnering with people who deeply understand the heart and culture of Hitfit. That’s why we are thrilled to introduce our newest franchise partners, Eliese and Joel.

For long-time members of the Hitfit community, Eliese’s name will feel familiar. She first joined Hitfit Melton as a member, walking through the doors as someone looking to transform her health, confidence, and lifestyle. What began as a personal fitness journey quickly evolved into a genuine passion for the Hitfit method—its flexibility, its atmosphere, and the powerful impact it has on everyday people. Her consistency, results, and positive energy made her a standout in the Melton community, inspiring those around her and forging strong relationships with both coaches and members.

Now, alongside her partner Joel, she is stepping into the next chapter by bringing Hitfit to Queensland. The pair share a commitment to health, community, and creating a supportive space where locals can achieve real, sustainable results. With Eliese’s first-hand experience as a member and Joel’s shared drive and operational strengths, they embody the perfect balance of heart and leadership that represents what Hitfit stands for.

The Queensland expansion marks an exciting opportunity for Hitfit to reach new people looking for a flexible, fun, and accessible way to train. Hitfit’s signature 24/7 circuit-based model—allowing members to start anytime—has reshaped how thousands of Australians approach fitness. Now, thanks to passionate leaders like Eliese and Joel, residents in Queensland will soon experience that same convenience, community, and energy.

As they prepare to open their doors, Eliese and Joel are focused on building a culture that mirrors the one Eliese fell in love with back in Melton: supportive, encouraging, and member-first. Their journey from member to franchise partner is a powerful reminder of what Hitfit is all about—helping people grow stronger physically, mentally, and personally.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Eliese and Joel to the Hitfit leadership family and to expand our footprint into Queensland. This marks just the beginning of an incredible new chapter for Hitfit, and we can’t wait to see the community they build.

9 NEWS | 78-Year-Old Granny Fights Back After Home Invasion

9 NEWS | 78-Year-Old Granny Fights Back After Home Invasion

After surviving two terrifying home invasions, 78-year-old Sigrid found herself struggling mentally and emotionally. What had once been a comfortable, safe home suddenly felt unfamiliar and frightening. Daily routines became difficult, confidence faded, and the fear lingered long after the intruders were gone.

But Sigrid made a brave decision. Instead of letting the trauma control her life, she signed up for Hitfit’s 28-Day Challenge at Hoppers Crossing, determined to rebuild her strength, confidence, and spirit. Walking through those gym doors for the first time was a turning point—and the beginning of a powerful comeback.

For the first month, Sigrid trained with commitment and heart. She pushed herself, rediscovered her resilience, and felt her confidence returning. But when financial restraints meant she couldn’t continue, the Hitfit community immediately stepped in. There was no hesitation, no second thoughts. Members and coaches rallied together, raising the funds to give Sigrid a full 12-month membership so she could keep training without worry.

Since then, the transformation has been remarkable. Sigrid is fitter, stronger, and more self-assured than she’s been in years. She’s found a place where she feels supported, welcomed, and genuinely safe—a community that treats her like family. Her mental health has shifted in a positive direction, and she’s rediscovered the spark that had dimmed after her traumatic experiences.

Stories like Sigrid’s remind us of the incredible impact a caring community can have. They show us that compassion still exists, that people still show up for one another, and that strength often comes from the most unexpected places.

At Hitfit, we’re proud to have a community with this much heart—and honoured to be part of Sigrid’s journey forward.

An Industry First - Gym Closes Trials

BIG NEWS FROM HITFIT

Hitfit has reached record-breaking attendance across all locations in the middle of winter! Because of this, we’re closing trials for the foreseeable future.

But don’t worry… we’re replacing them with something even better.

In an industry first, we’re launching periodic FREE 28 Day Challenges (valued at $499) as part of our mission to change lives through the power of real boxing training.

So, what’s the catch?
There isn’t one — but there is a standard. While the 28 Day Challenge is completely free, only participants who commit fully, follow their plan, and attend their classes will qualify for an ongoing Hitfit membership. We only want to work with people ready to put in the effort to transform their health.

This means our resources go to those serious about results, not people who sign up and never show up. We’re breaking away from the traditional gym model where memberships are sold without care for attendance or progress.

Spaces for each 28 Day Challenge are extremely limited — and they’re usually gone within 48 hours. Those who secure a place will receive structured training, accountability, and a community that pushes you to succeed.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to start your fitness journey, this is it. But you must act fast.

Register for your FREE 28 Day Challenge now by visiting:
www.hitfit.com/find-a-hitfit-locations

Don’t miss your chance to experience the Hitfit difference — where results, commitment, and community come first.

HERALD SUN | Forty years after his brutal ‘fight of the century’ with Barry Michael, Lester Ellis’ sons are making their name in boxing, but not as fighters

Lester Ellis fought with the calm, composed discipline of an orthodox boxer, but his journey has been anything but conventional. Forty years after his iconic "Fight of the Century" against Barry Michael, Lester's legacy continues—not just through stories of his world title but through the next generation of Ellis boxers and trainers.

Today, Lester is proudly passing the torch to his sons, Darcy and Lester Jnr, who are co-founders of the successful Hitfit chain of boxing gyms in Victoria. Their mission? To use the sport of boxing as a tool for transformation.

“Hitfit exists to help people change their lives through the vehicle of boxing,” says Darcy Ellis. “We're not just about fighters or professionals—we’re about everyday people. Families, adults, and kids come to us to improve their fitness, mental health, and confidence.”

Darcy explains that one of the gym’s core goals is to make boxing more inclusive and break down stereotypes. “You don’t have to be tough, aggressive, or experienced to start. We focus on making our classes welcoming and accessible, regardless of age or fitness level,” he says.

With a strong emphasis on mental, physical, and social benefits, Hitfit is reshaping how boxing is viewed in the community. It’s not just about throwing punches; it’s about building discipline, strength, and self-belief.

Currently, Hitfit operates in Ravenhall, Melton, Hoppers Crossing, and Maidstone, with four new locations expected to open next year. Each gym offers a range of programs for adults and children, blending professional coaching with a supportive, community-focused environment.

“Our members come to us with all kinds of goals—weight loss, stress relief, gaining confidence—and watching them achieve those things is the most rewarding part of what we do,” Darcy shares. “We see real transformation.”

40 Years On: Remembering the Fight of the Century

On July 12, 1985, two young warriors stepped into the ring and etched their names into Australian boxing history. Lester Ellis, just 19 years old, defended his IBF World Title against the relentless Barry Michael in what would become known as the Australian Fight of the Century.

Fought over 15 gruelling rounds at Melbourne’s Festival Hall, the bout was more than just a title fight — it was a battle of wills, pride, and endurance. Michael ultimately claimed victory by unanimous decision, but the contest was so fiercely contested that both men walked away with respect, legacy, and the admiration of the boxing world.

Now, 40 years on, the rivalry has turned into a deep friendship. To mark the anniversary, Ellis and Michael reunited at Hitfit Melton to run a special session inspired by their legendary fight — sharing stories, training tips, and a few cheeky jabs with the Hitfit community.
